I turned eight common Risk plans into players and made them fight at every possible table of four: 128,809,680 games in total. Hiding in Australia won 45% of its games, when a fair share is 25%. Going for Europe and Africa won 16%. But Australia only works if you’re the only one there, and only when the territories are picked, not dealt.

Then I changed one habit at a time to see what works at any table, and tuned a player that wins 48% against three normal players.
